1. Digital 3 – D

Stereo sound was demonstrated for the first time in 1881, when clement Ader used telephone receivers to transmit a live, stereo broad-cast of the Paris Opera.

The first VCR hit the market in 1972. VCRs were overtaken by digital video recorders DVRs which followed viewers to pause the live TV and filter out commercials on the fly.
